This article explains what to do if nobody at your organization can manage users, approve requests or grant permissions — either because your Organization Admin has left, or because your account has no admin at all.
Before you start
Only an Organization Admin can invite users, change permissions, approve join requests and accept customer data requests. If you're seeing an error that tells you to contact your admin, this article is for you.
- You'll need your organization's name exactly as it appears in Secaro.
- You'll need to be able to email us from your company email address.
💡 An organization can have more than one Organization Admin. Once this is resolved, appoint at least two so you don't get locked out again.
1. Check whether you already have an admin
Before contacting us, check whether someone at your organization can fix this for you in a couple of clicks.
- Select your user icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Users.
- Look at the Admin for column and find anyone listed as Organization.
2. If you do have an admin, ask them to update your access
Send them this — it's everything they need to do:
- Select your user icon in the top-right corner, then select Users.
- Find the user, and select Edit in the Actions column.
- In Can edit, add the facilities they need to report for — or select organization level if they need to manage all of them.
- In Admin for, select Organization if they need to manage users or accept customer requests.
- Select Save.
👉 Manage user permissions explains what each role can do.
3. If your admin has left, or there is no admin
If nobody on the account holds the Organization admin role, it can't be fixed from inside the platform. We'll assign it for you.
- Raise a ticket through the support form, from your company email address.
- Include the information listed below — all of it, in your first message.
What to include
⏹️ Your organization's name exactly as it appears in Secaro
⏹️ The full name and email address of each person who should become an Organization Admin
⏹️ Whether anyone also needs Billing admin rights (for subscriptions, invoices and payment details)
⏹️ The name and email address of the previous admin, if you know it
⚠️ We can only assign admin rights to someone on your organization's own email domain. If the person needs to use a different address, tell us why in the same message.
