This article explains how to create and manage Corporate initiatives in Secaro. Corporate initiatives allow you to share organization-wide sustainability projects and link them to your facilities and facility level projects.
⚙️Corporate initiatives can only be created and managed by users with Organization admin permissions.
Create an initiative
Step 1
From the top navigation bar, select Act, then choose Corporate initiatives.
Select Set initiative + A pop-up will open.
Step 2
Fill in the required fields under Basic information:
Title – the name of your initiative
Summary – a brief overview of the initiative
Focus area (optional) – select from the drop-down to assign a focus area. This corresponds to the focus areas in Secaro’s Action Plans
Description – a more detailed explanation of the initiative
Step 3
Under Linked actions:
Use the All facilities drop-down to select which of your Secaro-registered facilities this initiative affects.
Use the Search actions drop-down to select which of your Action Plan actions are related to this initiative.
Step 4
When finished, select Create action.
💡Initiative title, summary, and description are required fields, focus area is optional. When a focus area is selected, only actions from that focus area will be available to link.
Manage initiatives
Keeping your initiatives up to date ensures your organization’s projects and linked facilities and actions remain accurate.
Select the initiative by either clicking on the initiative card or the eye icon to open its details.
A pop-up will open showing the initiative’s information, and any linked facilities or actions.
Click Close when finished.
From the Corporate initiatives homepage, select the initiative you would like to edit.
In the pop-up window that opens, select Edit action.
Make the necessary changes.
When finished, select Save.
From the Corporate initiatives homepage, select the red trash icon on the initiative you would like to delete.
Select Confirm on the pop-up window.
⚠️Deleting an initiative will remove all links to associated facilities and actions.
