FAQs

Unfortunately, we cannot accept your sustainability report as a replacement for submitting data. To build a picture of the carbon and environmental footprint and future reductions within the supply chain, all data needs to be entered in the same format.
This standardises all reporting. The benefit of submitting your data in this format is that you only enter it once to report to all your customers on the platform. Please use the data directly from your report where applicable to fill in the relevant fields.
-
You can export data from the platform to upload to other software you may be using. Check out the article on exporting data to find out how to do this.
Secaro does not yet have the ability to ingest data from other platforms, but this is on our planned roadmap for 2026. Our aim is to make sustainability data sharing across supply chains as easy and as efficient as possible for businesses.
-
The emission factors in Secaro are default emission factors.
If you have more accurate emission factors specific to your company, please let us know and we can take steps to implement this.
Before our team uploads your new factor, we undertake due diligence to ensure it is valid, equivalent, and calculated using appropriate methodologies.
For emission factors enquiries, contact: emissionfactor@secaro.io

Yes. Even if you already have a detailed carbon footprint, you still need to enter your reporting data into Secaro.
Having your emissions data available will likely make completing your submission faster, as you can enter data directly into your report.
We also collect environmental data to provide a complete picture for your customer(s), such as renewable energy usage and waste reduction.
-
If you do not share environmental data, Secaro cannot provide insight reports on your performance and improvement plans.
Your customer will see that you have ignored or rejected the request and may contact you for more information. If contacted within Secaro, you will receive an email notification.
-
If you cannot meet the deadline, open the relevant request and message your customer directly to ask for an extension.
We recommend explaining why you need extra time so your customer can support you if required.
-
No. You may receive reporting requests from multiple customers using Secaro.
Your annual facility licence allows you to report to as many customers as you like, at no additional cost for the same facility.
